Gibbston Valley Winery

After we went to Alexandra, we drove to Gibbston Valley Winery in the Central Otago grape growing region. Gibbston is home to some of the best pinot noir on the planet... so I've been told. We signed up and did a cave tour that also included a wine tasting in the cave.
After the wine, I tasted more wine... naturally. I tasted a  series of four Gibbston Valley pinot noirs. wow so good. Earthy, black pepper, blackberries, bam! I highly recommend checking out and doing the Gibbston Valley cave tour.
After the wine tasting we headed right next door to the fresh cheese making shop. We ordered a tasting of three excellent cheeses... we couldn't afford any more actual wine to pair, but we still had good 'ol trusty classic boxed wine! Life lesson, eat cheese, drink wine, and repeat.

This is just an awesome shot of the vines and lifestyle at Gibbston Valley Winery.

  1. Like the glass tilt technique. Can tell that you are a true wire connoisseur. We want to go to this winery. We will save some money to so that we can pair the cheese with wine. Love you, Dad
